“We are thrilled to have been recognized by Enterprise Asia with this prestigious honor as it reaffirms our commitment to supporting the next generation and therefore our future,” said ADATA Chairman and CEO Simon Chen. “Since our establishment 19 years ago, the employees of ADATA have made it their mission to ensure disadvantaged children have access to educational resources and opportunities for self-improvement, and in turn, contribute more back to society.”
This year, Enterprise Asia received over two-hundred submissions from nineteen Asian countries. The entrants competed for honors in various categories including Social Empowerment, Investment in People, Health Promotion, Green Leadership, Corporate Governance, Circular Economy Leadership and Responsible Business Leadership. ADATA was recognized for its efforts in the category of Social Empowerment.
Firmly believing that youth are the hope for a better future, ADATA has been investing in the education of children through a multifaceted effort that supports several organizations. Among them is its eighteen-year cooperation with the Chung-Yi Social Welfare Foundation in Taiwan. This long-standing partnership has given disadvantaged children in Taiwan inspiration and opportunities through access to high-quality education at a young age. In addition to this, ADATA also sponsors a guidance and student assistance program for young people in Taiwan, run by the Puren Youth Care Foundation. The program works directly with school principals and teachers to help enhance learning opportunities for disadvantaged children.
Other youth-focused programs and organizations supported and run by ADATA include the ADATA Primary School program, which has seen ADATA establish twenty-three primary schools across Greater China. For fostering creative thinking and innovation in Taiwan, ADATA also hosts an annual parent-child painting contest that encourages children to express themselves through art.
The Asia Responsible Enterprise Award (AREA) program is hosted by Enterprise Asia, a leading non-governmental organization focused on promoting responsible entrepreneurship in Asia. The award judges evaluate entrants and their activities on a number on factors including Effectiveness, Impact, Sustainability, Integration, and Relevance.
